I woke up this morning and realized I’ll been neglecting my blogging duties. When I started this personal blog (for the second time in my life) at the beginning of the year, I made a promise to myself that I would make regular updates and keep it fresh. It’s not really a good excuse but the last two weeks have been a bit hectic. Weddings, pumpkin patch tours, a 10 month old daughter that’s now a petri dish of revolving illnesses (head colds, stomach flu, nasal congestion – you name it, we’re getting it), etc. – it all adds up to a whirlwind of time-loss on my part.

With that said, I do have a bunch of stuff I’d like to post – I just have to find some free time to sift through the 500 or so new photos we’ve taken over the last 2 weeks, get them organized, filtered, cropped and formatted for my gallery. Sounds easy but it’s the not-so-fabulous part of owning a digital camera – the shear volume of shots you end up with at the end of the day. At least with film you had to moderate your choices because you had 24-36 exposures to work with and each roll you burned put a hit on your wallet. Not so much with digital – shoot, shoot and shoot some more. Go nuts and who cares – my 4GB storage card still has 1800+ shots left right! Yea – great during the moment but not so great at the end of the day when you have to sift though all the noise and “why the heck do we have a picture of that” sets looking for the 1 in 100 gems.

Anyway, this weekend I should be able to sit down and get some new photos up and maybe even give Google a reason to crawl my site again. It is a blog about my life – you’d think I’d have plenty of stuff to post about right?
